This is an excellent sander for the money. Good power and well built. The built in dust collector isn't all that great but I'm sure would be fine if hooked up to a vacuum collection system. Does everything that I want it to do at 1/3 the price of a JET (which by the way is also made in China). Another reviewer reported that the belt and disc sanders don't operate independantly. I don't know of any that do and if that is a safety issue, one should buy separate machines. Mine did come with a manual.

Being rather inexpensive for what it is, I had my doubts about this product, but it's turned out to be extra-ordinary. First, dust catchers usually don't do much; this one does. It makes a sander such as this pretty darned clean running. Unheard of! Plus the sander is balanced and relatively quiet, which is not the case in most competing brands. Changing the belts is easy, and getting to the dust-catcher (to clean it out occasionally), or to that big sanding disk for replacement, is an easy matter of a few readily accessible screws. Warmly recommended

From reading previous reviews I knew it was heavy but I was still surprised at how heavy it was. It requires a substantial base. The payoff is low vibration; I didn't even need to bolt it down. It's not that noisy either.The moveable table is a good feature which gives you a solid platform for sanding with both the belt and disc. The bag also catches a lot of the dust. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a standard size hose connection for my shop vacuum. Several of my Chinese-origin tools have this problem which has forced me to make adaptors.

Awesome machine works like a champ! They forgot to include the manual but I emailed the mfg and within 2 minutes they replied with the attached manual. In my opinion there great custiomer service made up for the missing manual.

I purchased this sander when my Delta quit. The Delta was a good sander and lasted along time with lots of use. This sander is twice the machine. The Palmgren is a bench top like the Delta. No comparison. Palmgren is very solid, lots of power. I'm glad I made this choice. It will get alot of use.

First off Made in China should be in the product discription. Secondly it didn't come with any paper work, ie: owners manual, product registration card. Thirdly while trying to adjust the main belt I found two screws that were already stripped out due to inproper alignement. Finaly there is no switching from belt to disk, when it's on both the belt and disk are going so "Be Careful".
br /The power is okay, but with all the other bad factors I would stay away!
br /The only saving grace was the company was at least sent a product manual via e-mail.

A very good machine for the money, It is the best buy I have made in Amazon.
